Would you like to be a referee for Gungahlin United?

We are very pleased to be working with Capital Football on ensuring we have plenty of referees to cover our games.  Without a ball, a field, a goal and a referee, there’s no point turning up for a game right?

 

Right.  Which means our referees are very important to us.

GAME LEADER (GL) COURSES

SUNDAY 15 MARCH – PEARCE, (Pearce 2 (Melrose Synthetic)), 9am to 11am

FRIDAY 20 MARCH – (Venue To be confirmed), 6pm to 8pm

SUNDAY 29 MARCH – BRUCE, (AIS Grass 3), 9am to 11am

Becoming a Game Leader is the perfect first step for kids aged 13-14 to learn the basic skills of officiating in a fun and positive club environment.

This course has been specifically designed as an introduction to officiating which allows anyone who completes the course to referee Aldi MiniRoos matches (U6-U11).

The course is a 2 hour practical course.

You can become a Game Leader for FREE which includes:

The Game Leader Course Fee;

The Capital Football Referee Registration Fee;

A green Game Leader shirt;

A Fox40 whistle;

Becoming a Game Leader is the perfect first step to develop the necessary skills (confidence, leadership, communication) in a fun and supportive environment before deciding to take the next step as a Level 4 Referee!

LEVEL 4 REFEREE COURSES

BRADDON, March 29, 2020 (Canberra Rex Hotel), 9am – 1pm
BRADDON, April 5, 2020 (Canberra Rex Hotel), 9am – 1pm

This course certifies anyone aged 14 and above to referee full-field football matches. It is a great way to become involved or stay involved in community football as well as:

  • develop leadership skills;
  • improve self-confidence;
  • develop communication skills; and
  • earn from $28 per game!

The course is a 4 hour theory course. After the course you must attend one of the four pre-season Level 4 Referee Training Day sessions:

  • Session #1: Friday 17 April, 10am – 12pm
  • Session #2: Friday 17 April, 1pm – 3pm
  • Session #3: Sunday 19 April, 10am – 12pm
  • Session #4: Sunday 19 April, 1pm – 3pm
