Referees

WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE A REFEREE AT THE GUNGAHLIN UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB?

Throughout the year we are pleased to work with Capital Football on ensuring we have plenty of referees to cover our games.  Without a ball, a field, a goal and a referee, there’s no point turning up for a game, right? Which means our referees at the GUFC are very important to us.

Capital Football understands refereeing can be a challenging task and is dedicated to making your introduction to refereeing as simple and rewarding as possible, providing Referees with a wide range of referee development opportunities and social events, giving them the chance to not only make new friends but develop their refereeing skills.

BECOME A GAME LEADER

Becoming a Game Leader (GL) is the perfect first step for kids aged 13-14 to learn the basic skills of officiating in a fun and positive club environment.

This Capital Football managed course has been specifically designed as an introduction to officiating which allows anyone who completes the course to referee MiniRoos matches (U6-U11) at their junior club. GUFC provides/pays GLs for all GUFC home-based MiniRoos U8-11 games!

The Capital Football managed course is a 2-hour practical course.

You can become a Game Leader for $40. This fee includes registration in a Game Leader course, Game Leader registration fees (for the season) and the Game Leader starter kit containing the Green Game Leader jersey, whistle and bag.

Becoming a Game Leader is the perfect first step to develop the basic referee skills (confidence, leadership, communication) before deciding to take the next step as a Level 4 Referee!
