SAP and Pathways

The Skill Acquisition Phase (SAP) and Pathways program for U12 and U13 players focuses on developing essential technical skills, game understanding, and individual growth within a structured, fun, and competitive environment. These programs are designed to nurture young talent and set the foundation for higher levels of football, guiding players on a clear pathway to elite performance or continued development within the sport.

Program Description:

For U12 and U13, SAP emphasises mastering the core technical skills—first touch, striking the ball, running with the ball, and one-on-one play—through structured training sessions and small-sided games. The Pathways program continues this progression, integrating tactical awareness, decision-making, and teamwork, while ensuring players are prepared for advanced competition and potential opportunities in higher-level teams.

Both SAP and Pathways prioritise individual player development, ensuring a smooth transition through the stages of growth, with a focus on instilling a lifelong love for football.

Our SAP and Pathways Teams participate in various tournaments in the ACT and regional areas playing against Teams in and outside of Canberra. Players are exposed to competitions, skill challenges and mini/full sessions. Emphasis is on team work, sportsmanship and skill building.
